Kit Kaufman retired as a partner at Latham & Watkins, where he was a founder of its Silicon Valley office. He has decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate governance for technology and other companies. He now practices as a sole practitioner, bringing the judgment and expertise of a senior large-firm partner to clients who value direct, partner-level attention but may not want what comes with a whole law firm.

- Advised boards of directors including Advanced Micro Devices, Broadcom Limited, Bio-Rad Laboratories, and The Cooper Companies
- Presently serves on the boards of four privately-held companies in cybersecurity, software, and medical devices
- Served as mediator in confidential processes which successfully resolved disputes
